Stylists at Regis Hairstylists in Oak Ridge Mall, along with thousands of other Regis stylists throughout North America and Great Britain are sharpening their shears for the Tenth Annual Clip for the Cure.  On Saturday, October 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., stylists will offer shoppers $10.00 haircuts in the salon..   Proceeds from haircuts will benefit the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

In the past ten years, Regis stylists have raised over $3 million for this cause, and with the help of people in East Tennessee, this amount will continue to grow.  In addition anytime during the month of October the company will donate 10% of the net proceeds from the sale of  Regis brand producs.   This donation will go thru the Regis Foundation of Breast Cancer Research to the Mayo Foundation in Rochester, MN.

"The purpose of the Clip for the Cure is to increase breast cancer awareness and raise money for research programs.  Our stylists are truly committed to this event because breast cancer affects so many women, and the majority of our clients and co-workers are women," said local Regis Hairstylists Manager Kristen Galyan. "We want to continue to raise money to eradicate this devastating disease, but we need everyone to come out and get a haircut to help us reach that goal."
